Today is Qixi Festival, or the Double Seventh Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine's Day. To find true love, many people use innovatively odd ways to celebrate this festival.

On August 18th, lots of special billboards were seen in Xiangyang, central China’s Hunan province. One billboard read "Chen Qiaorong, marry me!" with a lady in wedding dress smiling beside it. The billboards of proposal can be seen everywhere.





With the increasing imbalance of sex ratio, more and more men have difficulty of finding a girlfriend. As a result, a local love training class has come into being. Aiming to help men find love, the class teaches men how to speak to girls and how to behave themselves. It costs 7000 yuan for a seven-day course.

In Wuhan, Hubei province, to find their "weaver girls", a group of foreign men acting as "cowherds", the hero of Qixi mythology, were parading through the downtown area. Each of the "cowherds" was even followed by an ox.
