四、单元语法详解

本单元核心语法为形容词和副词的最高级

1、最高级的构成形式

(1). 单音节词和部分双音节词

一般直接加 est ：long→longest，fast→fastest

以 e 结尾加 st ：large→largest，late→latest

重读闭音节（辅+元+辅）双写尾字母加 est ：big→biggest，hot→hottest

以“辅音字母+y”结尾，变 y 为 i 加 est ：happy→happiest，heavy→heaviest

（2）. 多音节词和部分双音节词

在词前加 most ：useful→most useful，interesting→most interesting

2、最高级的核心句型

(1). “主语+be动词+the+形容词最高级+范围”

用法：描述人/事物在某范围内的最高特征，范围常用 in/of/among 引出。

例句：The blue whale is the largest and heaviest animal in the world.（蓝鲸是世界上最大最重的动物。）

例句：The biggest land animal in the world is the African elephant.（世界上最大的陆地动物是非洲象。）

(2). “主语+实义动词+the+副词最高级+范围”

用法：描述动作在某范围内的最高程度，副词最高级前的 the 可省略（书面中常保留）。

例句：The cheetah runs (the) fastest among all land animals.（猎豹在所有陆地动物中跑得最快。）

(3). “主语+谓语+the+最高级+名词+范围”

用法：最高级修饰名词，表达“最……的人/物”。

例句：I think the most useful plant in the world is bamboo.（我认为世界上最有用的植物是竹子。）

例句：It is perhaps the most interesting plant in the world.（它或许是世界上最有趣的植物。）

结尾：提出措施+发出呼吁

(1). 保护措施：

The government can set up nature parks or natural reserves to give them a safe home.

People should stop killing them and fight against killing wild animals.

We can raise money to protect them and stop cutting down trees and plant more trees.
